Hawaiian Canoe Sailing - Wa’a Kaulua
is a dual-hulled Hawaiian sailing canoe built and captained by Hawaiian canoe builder Kiko Johnston Kitazawa of Honuapo, Hawaii. The canoe has two hulls lashed together with a platform and a Polynesian sailing rig. Captain Kiko can launch and sail Wa’a Kaulua on any coast of Hawaii Island. Blue water sailing in Kona, trade wind sailing in Puako, moonlight sailing in Hilo Bay, or take a rocket ride down the Volcano Coast or the soaring cliffs and waterfalls of the Hamakua Coast.
Adventure Sailing - Maile
is a classic 50’ sailing yacht that handles Hawaiian waters better than any vessel I have ever sailed. Even the infamous Alenuihaha Channel, between Maui and Kawaihae, she crosses with ease and grace. Captain Alex Munster has skippered yachts all over the world. Sailing on Maile is a great family adventure. Based in Kawaihae in the heart of the Hawaii Humpback Whale Sanctuary, near the spectacular underwater reef of Puako, and across the Alenuihaha Channel from Maui, Maile can be chartered for half day, full day, overnight trips, even week-long voyages.
